As veterans of 10 motorhomes, John Bladon and his wife Ann have been racking up the miles in motorhomes since 1989 and – after purchasing a number of different manufacturers – the HYMER models are their preferred choice.

“They’re very good quality,” said the 65-year-old from Wiltshire. “They are well designed, appointed and finished. We have had three HYMER motorhomes– the B514, B698 and B690 – and are just waiting to take delivery of the Grand Canyon S.”

Freedom is the driving factor behind John and Ann’s love of life in a motorhome and is also the reason behind their latest purchase.

“Compared to the three previous models we have had, we are downsizing with the Grand Canyon S which is a conscious decision” he added.

“The 8 metre A Class motorhome models are fantastic but there are some places where it’s tricky to take them and they are not ideal if you just want to shoot off for a weekend away in the Cotswolds, Marlborough Downs, the Vale of the White Horse, The New Forest or Forest of Dean.

“We feel downsizing will enable us to visit more of the remote places and wildlife locations we want to visit.”

While John and Ann have ventured onto the continent, it is exploring the UK which is their true passion.

John added: “We are getting our schedules ready for when we take delivery of our new camper. Hopefully we will be going back to Mid-Wales, Devon and Cornwall and the Yorkshire Dales later this year and it’s the Outer Hebrides in 2022 and Shetland and Orkney in 2023 – camper, pubs, binoculars, bikes and boots in the British Isles.”
