Introducing the New HYMER Special Edition Crossover Models

HYMER have launched two new special edition CrossOver models. The Hymer ML-T 570 and Hymer Grand Canyon S, both built on a Mercedes Benz chassis, are now available with an off-road optimised upgrade, built for unrestricted travel and “explor[ing] the world off the beaten track, far away from the usual campsites”.

Both models now come with self-sufficiency features as standard and a choice of special upholstery options, plus a distinct outdoor design with fresh green accents. Let’s delve into these exciting new models and what they have to offer!

HYMER ML-T 570 CrossOver

The ML-T570 CrossOver, combines style and functionality. The cab is finished in “Tenorite Grey Metallic,” while the bodywork sports a sleek “Crystal Silver” paint, giving it a dynamic and modern look.

Inside, the motorhome features the new “Native Bamboo” style collection, inspired by the Hymer Venture S, adding bamboo accents and a cosy fleece sleeping area. Improved ergonomics in the sleeping area come from the comfort sleeping system with a disc spring frame, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The lounge-style seating area with Duo-Core upholstery offers extra comfort, and integrated flat headrests mean they don’t need to be removed to watch TV. Additionally, the seating area can be converted into a comfortable bed for extra sleeping space.

For a touch of luxury, the motorhome includes the optional “Lund Leather” special upholstery, complete with green accents and premium diamond stitching on the driver and passenger seat backrests. Ambient lighting allows dynamic, individual control of light temperature and includes reading lights for the multifunctional wall. The pendant lamp, borrowed from the Hymer Venture S, and atmospheric plinth lighting enhance the cosy atmosphere.

Practical features include premium push-lock mechanisms with real leather straps, soft-close mechanisms on overhead lockers, and a versatile bed conversion for the L-shaped seating area. The motorhome’s self-sufficiency has been upgraded, with two 95 W solar panels, a second cassette toilet, and a fresh water filter, making it perfect for independent travel. Off-road features include 16-inch tires with expanded wheel arches, engine and water tank protection plates, and a LED light bar above the cab for excellent visibility in all conditions. 

HYMER Grand Canyon S Crossover

The Grand Canyon S CrossOver is the perfect model for those who love a camper van design, but appreciate those extensive features. This model, available in the “Ivy Green” interior collection, includes olive green furniture finishes, cosy felt wall linings, premium window and door panels, and a four-level lighting system with customisable light temperature. It has an  innovative Lattoflex comfort sleeping system with integrated disc springs to ensure ergonomic sleeping comfort. The seating area has been optimised with improved lateral support for a more comfortable ride, while the compact bathroom features a solid-surface designer folding washbasin and a functional door.

For added luxury, the optional CrossOver “Lund Leather” upholstery can be selected for both the driver’s seats and bench seat. The exterior features a striking “Tenorite Grey Metallic” colour, accented by neon green CrossOver decals, and comes with 16″ off-road tires and an engine protection plate for rugged terrain. The model also features four-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission, making it well-suited for off-road adventures.

Like the ML-T570, the Grand Canyon S CrossOver is built for self-sufficiency and flexibility. It includes a 90-litre compressor refrigerator with a double hinge, allowing it to open in both directions and perform reliably across all terrains and temperatures. The vehicle’s kitchen features a cooker/sink combination with a two-burner gas hob, a glass lid, and a premium single-lever mixer tap. A 6 kW diesel heater with a boiler reduces gas consumption, enhancing self-sufficiency, and is complemented by features like electric waste water drainage, a second cassette toilet, and a fresh water filter for extended travel. Additionally, it also has a Grünbeck water filter and an optional awning with dimmable LED lighting for added comfort outdoors.

The Grand Canyon S CrossOver includes numerous driver assistance systems, such as Active Distance Assist and a parking package with a 360° camera for enhanced safety. It also features an electric off-road step for easier access, and a 7-inch touchscreen for monitoring and controlling vital vehicle systems. An LED light bar mounted above the cab, which can be coupled with the full beam, ensures excellent visibility, while the intelligent inverter provides 1,300 W of continuous power. The model’s self-sufficiency is further supported by 4×80 Ah lithium batteries and a 95 W solar panel, with the option to add a second panel, making it perfect for independent travel.
