Travelworld won the Training Excellence award at the Stoke on Trent Business Live Awards in recognition of the long-standing dedication towards continuous improvement.

We see apprenticeships as a core focus for the business as we look engage and inspire the next generation of colleagues into the motorhome industry. In 2022/23 we welcomed five apprentices through the habitation training programme at EMTEC in Nottingham, endorsed by the National Caravan Council.

HEALTH & WELLBEING

The health, safety and wellbeing of our colleagues is a priority and an area of business we take seriously.

Fiat Professional Training

We run mental health workshops to raise awareness of mental wellbeing and have four dedicated mental health first aiders who are trained to provide support and signpost people who are experiencing poor mental health.

It is important that we recognise and celebrate national and global health and wellbeing events throughout the year. We have invited trained professionals to run workshops with our team and encouraged discussions to raise awareness. These have included raising awareness for Diabetes Day, International Dyslexia Day, World Menopause Day, International Women’s Day and International Men’s Day.

In addition, all colleagues are offered free of charge flu vaccinations and annual on-site health checks, with private medical insurance opportunities in place.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY

With a charity committee in place, we are dedicated to supporting good causes close to the hearts of our colleagues and creating a positive difference in our local community.

North Mind staffs Elf Run Our colleagues raise funds for selected charities which have included The British Heart Foundation, Stoke on Trent Children’s Hospice and North Staffs Mind, who provide vital mental health support for the North Staffordshire community, and Midlands Air Ambulance.

Travelworld colleagues have raised thousands of pounds through activities including sky dives and other sponsored events.

We also open our doors to work experience students looking to learn more about the motorhome industry. In summer 2023, we welcomed 11 students from Stafford schools to experience what it is like to work at Travelworld for a week.
