About Berkshire

Berkshire has a great deal to offer and is positioned conveniently near London for those wanting to stop off for a country break while on their way to the capital. There is a huge variety of things to do in Berkshire, a county which is renowned for its quaint villages and scenic quintessentially ‘English’ countryside.

Based in the south east of England, Berkshire is a historic county which is also known as the Royal County of Berkshire, thanks to the presence of Windsor Castle within it. Berkshire is commonly associated with the Royal family where the Duchess of Cambridge was born and where her parents and family still reside.
